We are excited to announce that Vincent Kobel has joined Kiln as our new Head of Security. With a strong background in cybersecurity and digital assets, Vincent brings extensive experience to help us keep our business safe and secure for our customers.

Vincent joins Kiln from Blockdaemon, where he served as Director of Security Engineering & Digital Asset Security, guiding architectural and security decisions to meet stringent product specifications. Prior to that, he was a founding member of Metaco, a Swiss fintech company acquired by Ripple in 2023. At Metaco, Vincent led the security architecture for their cryptocurrency and token custody platform, Harmonize, and played a key role in its market launch, safeguarding billions in digital assets through comprehensive threat modeling, design, and secure implementation across Metaco's product suite.

As Head of Security at Kiln, Vincent will continue to enhance security operations across teams and drive product security and innovation. He will lead initiatives to embed security into product design, ensuring that our technologies, such as Kiln Onchain, DeFi solutions, and validator protection systems, continue to be secure by design. Additionally, he will focus on innovating in cryptographic technologies, identifying new ways to enhance security while unlocking business opportunities.

With over $10B in digital assets staked through our technology, security is a top priority at Kiln. We maintain operational excellence through rigorous practices, including SOC2 Type 2 compliancy, regular pen tests, and a $2M bug bounty program. All our smart contracts are audited by leading firms such as Spearbit and Halborn.

Our infrastructure practices are endorsed by the Ethereum Foundation, focusing on anti-slashing strategies and risk monitoring, resulting in zero penalties or slashing incidents. This commitment ensures that we uphold the highest security standards for our customers and the broader ecosystem.

We are thrilled to welcome Vincent to our team! His collaborative approach, particularly with product, leadership and sales teams, combined with his deep industry knowledge and experience navigating the technical complexities of digital assets, will be key to maintaining Kiln’s highest security standards.

Welcome aboard, Vincent!
Laszlo, CEO
