Exploring EigenLayer's transformation:

Eigenlayer, the leading restaking protocol by TVL, implemented the PEPE upgrade yesterday, part of a series of enhancements aimed at improving the efficiency, economic viability, and future resilience of restaking.

Earlier in 2024, the M2 upgrade introduced challenges for native restakers, such as high operational complexity and costs associated with withdrawing ETH staking rewards from their validators, as detailed in our article on the Kiln Blog.

The PEPE upgrade brings significant improvements for native restakers, including:
