Latest Ethereum News

This month promises a wealth of Ethereum news with the Dencun upgrade on March 13, 2024. Meanwhile, at Kiln we have also continued our efforts towards EL client diversity, i.e running a plurality of software implementations of Ethereum to strengthen network resilience. We announced that we now run 50.1% of our execution-layer nodes with the minority client Nethermind!

Following our January commitment to transfer some of Kiln's validators to a non-majority Ethereum execution layer client by February's end, we're pleased to announce that this is now complete! Over half of our 42,000 ETH validators now operate on Nethermind.

Launching on March 13, the Dencun upgrade marks a major step in Ethereum's path to scalability and improved user experience. Discover key enhancements, like Proto-Danksharding, reducing transaction costs particularly for L2s.
